Patreon & YouTube Memberships

News / 24 March 2026

Hey all,

I just wanted to share this here, but I recently added some new benefits to my Patreon and YouTube Memberships. These are completely optional and just a way to support the channel and the continued creation of free videos. The goal of this channel has always been to provide free tutorials, tips, and techniques that show the environment art process for games, and none of the membership benefits will ever put those tutorials behind a paywall.

Feel free to check out these benefits at either of these links on Patreon or YouTube. This includes things like voting on future videos, occasional digital downloads, special thanks in the credits, and a monthly portfolio feedback video for the higher tier. If none of this interests you and you just enjoy the free content on the channel, I also want to say thank you for your continued support over the years and I hope to continue to make videos that help you and provide meaningful content to you.

Intro to Unreal Engine for Entertainment - The Essential Art Department

News / 22 January 2025

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share that I am starting a new course in partnership with The Essential Art Department. This is different than other courses I have taught or currently teach because its focused around using Unreal Engine for entertainment as a whole. Its a 6 week course that's focused primarily on class time online. This is not a game art focused course, it is intended for individuals that have never used Unreal Engine and are wanting to use it for a variety of mediums and industries.

I created a trailer to explain a little bit more below. If this is something that you think interests you, I would love to help you start your Unreal Engine journey!

Looking Forward to 2019!

News / 09 January 2019

Hey Everyone!

It's a new year and looking back at all the things that happened in 2018, I have to thank the community and my friends for all the support as I continue to learn and grow as an artist. Through this time I also made a lot of new friends and am fortunate for the passion, energy, and talent that makes up this creative industry!

Looking at 2019 I hope to push further and contribute more creative content and tutorials to the community while also learning from all of you. I look to try more things that are out of my comfort zone and continue to learn new methods and techniques that improve my skills.

Starting off at the end of this month I am excited to announce that I will be teaching an online class over at CGMA. I am really honored to have this opportunity and look forward to helping people start their journey into the industry. The class will be covering "Intro to Environment Art" and the curriculum of the course was setup by the incredibly talented Andres Rodriguez, whom I work alongside at Naughty Dog. The class starts January 28th and there are limited seats available if any of you are interested!

If you have any content, tutorials, or suggestions on what you would like to see this year with personal art then let me know as well. Really excited to get all this going!

Thanks!

Peyton
